"Rise and Dream" is produced by Christian Foundation for Children and Aging. The teens and families featured in the documentary are participants in CFCA's sponsorship and scholarship programs.
CFCA is a Kansas City-based nonprofit organization that brings support and hope to children, the aging and families who struggle to overcome poverty. The Philippines is one of 22 countries where CFCA works.
Founded in 1981, CFCA serves more than 300,000 children and elderly from diverse religious and cultural backgrounds. Through the support of primarily U.S.-based sponsors, CFCA provides basic life necessities such as food, education and health care, and offers opportunities for families to become self-sustaining.
CFCA believes families can create real change in our world. We know that people living in poverty are struggling heroically against tremendous odds. Our mission is to walk in solidarity with them, providing personal attention and support based on their individual needs and goals.
CFCA hopes that the film will serve as an inspiration for all those working for positive change and unity in our world today.
